What a great list! It seems like many people in Germany know all kinds of American authors but here in the US we know very few German authors ... I know we American book bloggers be very interested to see you review your favorite German language authors!
AntwortenLöschenThank you, IngridLola - maybe I'll give some German authors a break.. :")
AntwortenLöschenOooh! Wodehouse, Austen, & du Maurier! Great picks! Here's mine: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2010/10/top-ten-tuesday-favorite-authors.html
AntwortenLöschenI don't know all the authors on your list but I agree with Austen and I like DuMaurier and Wodehouse!
AntwortenLöschenJames M. Cain is a great addition to your list!
AntwortenLöschenI have only read Austen and DuMaurier. The books that I read I liked.
AntwortenLöschenI see on your sidebar that you are reading A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Very cool. I was told about this book a few months back, and placed it on my to-read list, and forgot. You have just reminded me. How are you liking the book?
I have an award for you on my blog! http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2010/10/award-time.html
AntwortenLöschenMy top ten would have to include: PG Wodehouse, Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler, Lewis Carrol, Arthur Conan Doyle, PD James, Dan Needles, Edward Gorey, Edgar Allen Poe, and Emily Dickinson :)
